In May 2018 North Bay Police Service requested assistance from members of the OPP Crime Unit in response to a fraud complaint.

  • Five counts of falsification of books and documents

Silveri was released on an undertaking with a date to attend the Ontario Court of Justice on August 11 in North Bay.

The investigation is continuing and further details will be released at a later date say police.

Also, on Dec. 13, 2019, Deputy Chair of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario Professional Conduct Committee, H.G. Fagan sent Silveri a letter outline six allegations of professional misconduct. Silveri is a chartered accountant.

Included in the letter were allegations that Silveri served notices of lien for unpaid condominium fees on certain unit holders when he knew or should have known that the unit holders' condominium fees were paid, and that he failed to remit $131,700 in Common Element Fees.

The allegations have not been proven in court.
