Project Northern Gateway bust city grow-op

On Tuesday January 16th, 2007, members of Project 'Northern Gateway' (a joint investigation between members of the Ontario Provincial Police and North Bay Police service) conducted an investigation, which resulted in a search warrant being executed at a Thelma Avenue residence, in the city of North Bay.

Officers entered the home on the authority of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant. OPP and North Bay officers entered without incident and seized over 40 Marihuana plants growing inside the residence. One (1) person was arrested at the scene and charged with Production of Marihuana.

The potential street value of the seized drugs is approximately Forty Thousand dollars.

Production of a Controlled Substance, Sec 7(1) CDSA. (1 count - Marihuana).

A Warrant for the arrest of another male has also been issued.
