Porn charges filed against city man

A North Bay man has been charged with pornography-related charges. The charges stem from an investigation by detective-constables Greg McClenaghan and Barry Ramsay of the Investigative Division of the North Bay Police Service.

The charges stem from an investigation by detective-constables Greg McClenaghan and Barry Ramsay of the Investigative Division of the North Bay Police Service.

Police say they received information from the North Bay Probation office at the end of January that a man whose probation order prohibited him from possessing a computer in fact had one.

The officers commenced the investigation and concluded it on Feb. 2.

They seized the computer when it was discovered that child pornography existed on it. The computer was then sent for forensic analysis.

Wade Bentley, 40, of Worthington Street East, has been charged with breach of probation and possession of child pornography.

40-year-old man, whose name was not released by police, is charged with breach of pobation and possession of child pornography. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
