Ever have snow or ice fly off a vehicle you were behind?
Police are worried after the recent freezing rain it's becoming a major safety problem.
North Bay OPP officers conducted two investigations today, where flying ice from a vehicle caused damage to another vehicle.
In the first incident, the victim complained that a large piece of ice came off the roof of a pick-up truck causing approximately $5,000 in damage to his vehicle.
In the second incident, a couple was following a pick-up truck when a large sheet of ice flew off, damaging their car.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
Police can issue a ticket for a Highway Traffic Act charge such as "Insecure Load," or, in the case of a serious incident, lay a Criminal Code charge such as "Criminal Negligence."
