An Apartment Fire at 820 Douglas Street in North Bay, occurred at 1641, January 17, 2008, and was attended by units from the North Bay Fire Dept.
Extensive damage to the apartment with no estimate of damage at this time. An unidentified Female in the apartment was found deceased by Fire Department personnel.
The Ontario Fire Marshall office is investigating the fire. No cause for the fire has yet been determined.
The coroner will be conducting an autopsy today and the name of the female victim will be released at some time following completion of the Coroner’s investigation and notification of next-of-kin.
