The North Bay Police Service laid four domestic assault charges over a weekend when officers responded to a total of 173 calls for service.
In total, the police arrested and charged eight people with the following offences:
- One person was charged with two counts of domestic assault;
- One person was charged with one count of domestic assault and three counts of breach of Officer in Charge undertaking;
- One person was charged with one count of domestic assault and one count of mischief;
- One person was charged with one count of domestic assault;
- Three people were charged with public intoxication; and one person was charged with theft under $5000 (shoplifting) and breach of probation
