The North Bay Police Service arrested and charged a 25-year-old female and a 36-year-old male with drug trafficking and weapons offences and seized $15,000 worth of illegal narcotics.
At approximately 1:50 a.m. on September 6, 2023, members of the North Bay Police Service conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle occupied by the accused.
Recognizing that the accused, Zoe Edenbrok Gates-Healey, was driving while under suspension, members of the North Bay Police Service placed her under arrest.
The police say a search incident to arrest by police of the vehicle revealed significant amounts of illegal narcotics. At this time, accused Lauzon was placed under arrest.
The accused in this matter are:
Zoe Edenbrok Gates-Healey, female, age 25, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- Three counts of Carrying concealed weapon
- Three counts of Failure to comply with prohibition order
- One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Three counts of Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Dorion Andrew Lauzon, male, age 36, of North Bay, who is charged with:
- Three counts of Carrying concealed weapon
- Three counts of Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- One count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:
- Approximately 119 grams of suspected cocaine
- Approximately 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- Approximately 1 gram of suspected clonazepam
- Approximately 17 grams of suspected oxycodone
- Brass knuckles
- A crossbow
- A modified baseball bat with sharp objects attached
- A quantity of Canadian currency
- Drug trafficking equipment
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $15,000. The accused were released on Undertakings with both accused set to appear before the court on October 3, 2023.
