The North Bay Police and the Ontario Provincial Police are investing an alleged armed robbery that took place last night along Highway 17 within North Bay city limits.
Sources told BayToday the incident occurred before 7 p.m. on Tuesday night at the Mr. Gas service station on Highway 17, east of the city.
"We are investigating a Robbery using a Firearm that occurred yesterday evening at a business on Highway 17," confirmed David Woolley, corporate communications with the North Bay Police Service.
The source says the thief left in a car heading towards Ottawa on Highway 17.
Woolley says the investigation is still ongoing.
