The North Bay Police will be holding a news conference tentatively scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Lower Lecture Room of North Bay Police Headquarters relating to what they are calling a “sudden death investigation” at this time.

Police say at around 4 p.m. on Monday police arrived at a Duke Street residence to investigate a domestic violence incident.

However, when police arrived they found a 39-year-old local woman dead.

Police are not calling it a homicide at this point, only stating that “foul play is suspected.”

Detective Sergeant Dan Webber will be reading a prepared statement and police will answer questions from the media.

BayToday.ca will update this story later this afternoon...
