Near North Crime Stoppers and the Mattawa Detachment of the OPP are asking for the public’s assistance in solving the theft and arson of a motor vehicle in Mattawan Township.
On August 9, 2017, the abandoned burnt remains of a 2016 black GMC Sierra pickup truck were discovered in a remote area, off of Highway #533, approximately 30 kilometres north of the town of Mattawa.
The investigation conducted revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen on May 30th, in the York Region.
