Police confirm identity of body

Restoule - On Friday, July 18th, 2008, OPP Canine Unit located a body in a swampy area near the shores of Big Rainy Lake. Paul ABBEY, 48 years old, of Hagersville, Ontario, was reported missing on Friday, June 13th, 2008. ABBEY was last seen in Restoule, Ontario on Friday, May 30th, 12008. At that time an extensive search of the area was conducted by OPP officers and OPP speciality units.

On Thursday, July 31st, 2008, results of a post mortem and further Forensic Analysis, positively identified the remains as Paul ABBEY.
