North Bay Police Service officers pursued a stolen white Dodge Caravan up Thibeault Hill at 6 AM Thursday, but called the chase off due to dangerous driving conditions and concern for the public.

Police believe the stolen vehicle, previously taken from the Buns Master bakery on Clarence Street, was involved in a robbery earlier that morning when thieves forcibly entered Shirley’s Convenience on Airport Road and disabled the alarm.

The van’s seats were found at the Eagle Nest Gas Bar on Highway 17 E where another break and enter took place. This illegal entry is being investigated by the Anishnabek Police Service.

It is further believed that this pursued van was used in this break and enter.

This white Dodge Caravan with Ont. licence plate #AJAR 907 is still outstanding.
