Police arrest and charge local man with Sexual Assault

On July 8, 2022, members of the North Bay Police Service arrested and charged a 65-year old man with Sexual Assault.

Police say on June 1, both the accused and victim were attending a recreational facility on Tupper Drive, North Bay.

Police say the accused approached the victim who was initially unaware of the presence of the accused.

It is alleged the accused then committed two acts of unwanted sexual touching.

The incident was reported to the police, at which point an investigation commenced.

The accused in this incident is a male, age 65 of East Ferris, who is charged with:

  • One count of Sexual Assault

The victim and accused are known to one another. The North Bay Police Service will not be releasing the name of the accused in order to protect the identity of the victim.

The accused was released on an Undertaking with a court date of August 23, 2022.
