Plenty of Monday morning accidents

The Northbound lane of Algonquin avenue was closed around 8:15 a.m. as North Bay Police and Firefighters attended to an accident at the corner of Algonquin and Landsdown ave.

Northbound traffic was re-routed through the Esso parking lot at the intersection while police investigated and a flatbed tow truck arrived to load the damaged vehicle.  

One vehicle had some significant damage to the drivers side.  No word if there were any injuries.   

Meantime around 8:30 a.m. City Police and the O.P.P. were investigating another accident at the O'Brien intersection at the by-pass.  That accident involved a red pickup.   No word on the cause or if there were any injuries.  

On Airport Road, another SUV was stuck in a snowbank after the vehicle appeared to have lost control and went off the road near the Blue Sky Bingo parking lot.
