The City of North Bay announced that as a result of a review of the Sage (Birchaven) Park Playground, it has been determined that the playground apparatus should be removed.
The existing playground apparatus was to be dismantled on Friday.
The swings and other amenities will remain.
The playground apparatus will be replaced next spring in the same location.
The city is asking for feedback from the neighourhoood as to a new design for the new playground apparatus.
Until the new playground apparatus is constructed, residents are encouraged to use Lakeside Playground apparatus at the Water Treatment Plant on Lakeside Drive and the Olmsted Beach playground apparatus at Armstrong Park.
