The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority is hosting a community volunteer workday at Eva Wardlaw Park (Parks Creek) on September 20, 2007 from 10:00am - 2:00pm.

The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation (NBMCA) requires volunteers on September 20, 2007 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm to assist with shoreline clean up and general maintenance of the Eva Wardlaw Park Conservation Area on Lakeshore Drive in North Bay. The volunteer workday will coincide with the TD Canada Trust Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-Up, one of Canada's largest environmental events and one of the biggest shoreline clean-ups in the world.

All equipment such as hand tools, work gloves, safety glasses and needed materials will be provided, as well as snacks and refreshments. More information is available online at www.nbmca.on.ca
or by contacting the NBMCA at (705) 474-5420. Interested individuals are asked to register at (705) 474-5420 or at [email protected].

The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) was founded in 1972 by the Province of Ontario and the NBMCA's 10 member municipalities. A non-profit organisation, the NBMCA works closely with the public to ensure the environmental health of the region's watershed. The NBMCA is one of 36 Conservation Authorities who are members of Conservation Ontario.
