"The investment in this infrastructure is an important and integral component in the city’s investment in our economic future," says  a Chamber news release issued Friday afternoon.

1st Vice President Steve Dreany said, “Growth of our economy is vital for the health of our region.  Our only long-term sustainable way forward is through economic growth.  In order to accomplish this growth we need new, developable land.  The Pinewood Park service extension accomplishes that.

"Any future growth in the City of North Bay has already been prioritized as the airport industrial park development and the Pinewood Park extension; the community has already seen the expansion on McKeown Avenue over the past few years, and there is not any more developable land available in this section.  The Lakeshore Drive and Pinewood Park extension will open up 230 acres of serviced land for investors and developers to take advantage of."
