Traffic has been slowed on Main Street West after a pickup truck struck a hydro pole and police, fire, and paramedics are present.

First responders arrived at the scene near the intersection of Main West and Timmins Street around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday to assist following the single-vehicle collision.

A witness told BayToday the driver escaped without major injuries but the air bag did deploy due to the crash.

Reports say there was no immediate loss of power.
