Excited skiers turned out to the North Bay Nordic Ski Club Sunday afternoon as the club held their annual Open House and unvieling of the newly renovated ladies' change room.

Thanks to the generosity of Nicole Neff and her crew at Bay Builders the change room received a brand new look that includes a handicap-accessible toilet stall, mirrors, new shelving and flooring. Club President Kevin Denston says the transformation in the is night and day in contrast to the old change room.

"We couldn't have done it without the help of Nicole -- with the finances, the time or the volunteer time to do it," he tells Baytoday.

"It brings that extra element to the club when we have people come who aren't members and they see it's just that much nicer."

"It is just night and day, it is incredible, it looks cleaner -- just everything is done properly, just more of what you expect of the facility ... like the ski trails are fantastic and it is nice to try and bring our building up to that and this is a great step in that process."

Neff said the upgrade as great way for her to give back to a great place she spends time at over the winter so everyone benefits.

"We were able to work on this project between jobs and we decided to do this in phases, this (ladies change room) is the first phase in the project but I am happy to announce that in the books for next year we are working on the men's room and hopefully the downstairs as well," Neff told the members during the ribbon cutting ceremony."
