Peter's stop

An emotional Judy Reid listened in North Bay City Council chambers Monday as councillors voted unanimously to name the new transit terminal in honour of her husband Peter.

After a lengthy battle with cancer Reid lost the battle in August.

Reid, who worked for the transit department for 27 years started out as an operator and working his way up to supervisor and then to manager, had a profound impact on his fellow workers and they lobbied council for the naming of the terminal.

The terminal will now be known as the 'Peter Reid Stop'.
