Members of Community Waterfront Friends are excited to see the next step of the Pergola Project underway as the first stainless steel leaves of inspiration are installed this week.
CWF spokesperson Harriet Madigan says the pergola not only tells the story of the city but leaves a lasting legacy for future generations to grow up in a park like city versus a city with parks.
She says it is not too late to support the effort as to date 500 leaves have been sold and the goal is to sell 2500.
The Grand opening of the Pergola is set for 10am on August 4th.
