Parking lot collision leads to impaired charges

Police immediately arrested the first man for impaired driving and took him to police headquarters

Police were called to a parking lot on Seymour Street to investigate a two-vehicle collision shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday.

It appeared a man was entering the parking lot when he struck another vehicle that was leaving the lot.

Police immediately arrested the first man for impaired driving and took him to police headquarters, where he refused to provide police with suitable intoxilyzer breath samples.

So North Bay Police arrested and charged:

A 24-year old East Ferris man with:

  • One count of impaired operation of a motor vehicle; and
  • One count of fail or refuse to provide breath sample.

The accused, whom police did not name, was later released from custody.

Nobody was injured as a result of the collision.
