The successful return of the Home and Garden Expo last month has raised $6,085 for the North Bay Food Bank. Attendees paid $2 for admission to the event.

More than 3,000 people attended the show at Memorial Gardens, the first since COVID hit three years ago.

“The business community and residents embraced the opportunity to get together,” organizer Scott Clark, of Clark Communications, said about the three-day event Feb. 24-26.

"Probably the biggest thing is, is people saying it's great seeing other people. I've heard a lot of that, 'I haven't seen you in a long time.' It's like a gathering of the community and at this time of year, traditionally we don't get out because we're hunkered down from the cold," co-organizer Scott Clark said as the event closed.

There were 90 vendors spread across the arena and a large majority had high reviews of the facilities and service available, according to event surveys submitted. Also rated positively was the onsite restaurant delivery and overall attendance met expectations," explained Clark.

“The feedback gave us the confidence to start planning for 2024 and many great ideas to make it even better.”

Next year's event is scheduled for Feb. 23-25.
