A Toronto man has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a North Bay woman he knows. The alleged attack took place March 13 within a North Bay home, police said.
A Toronto man has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a North Bay woman he knows.

The alleged attack took place March 13 within a North Bay home, police said.

Relatives of the victim were able to intercede in the matter and the assailant left the scene.

The North Bay Police Service was then called and Det. Cst. Ray Yelle and Det. Constable Tina Murphy commenced their investigation. The victim attended the North Bay General Hospital for treatment.

Toronto Police Service officers arrested a man March 17 in relation to this investigation.

Two North Bay officers left for Toronto this morning to transport the individual in question.

Warrants for sexual assault, two counts of breach of probation and assault will be served on Jason Hart, 33, of Dennis Street. He will then be brought before a North Bay court.
