Powassan OPP continue their investigation into a missing person from Restoule, Ontario.

On Tuesday June 19th, 2007 shortly before 7:00 p.m., Powassan OPP responded to an incident involving a Restoule resident overdue from the Restoule Legion. George Pente, age 82 years old, of Restoule, Ontario was last seen at the Restoule Legion located on 50 Hawthorne Drive, Patterson Township between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 19th, 2007. He is described as being 5 foot, 6 inches tall, stocky build, short grey hair and a full moustache, brown eyes; wearing a turquoise shirt, dark blue sport jacket and grey casual pants. He also wears wire rim glasses (see attached photo). Pente drives a silver 2002 Honda CRV bearing Ontario licence plate number: 914ZBS.

Efforts during the last two days in attempting to locate Pente include: A thorough ground search of the Restoule area on All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) by the Patterson Volunteer Fire Department was unable to locate the missing man. OPP Helicopter flew the area on Wednesday (June 20th, 2007) and was unable to locate Pente or his vehicle. Police have conducted local and provincial checks in hopes to indicate the location of Pente.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance for any information that will help the police and George Pente’s family in locating him.
