OPP kept busy over the weekend

North Bay - Officers of the North Bay OPP cluster were busy over the Civic Long Weekend which commenced on Friday, August 1st and ended Monday, August 4th, 20(2008).

It is quite concerning to see these high numbers even after all the public awareness and education continuously being made. The contributing factors to fatal and serious injury collisions are speed, seatbelts/child restraints and alcohol. The officers did their part to ensure vehicle drivers and vessel operators complied with traffic and marine laws. While, on a positive side, there were only 4 motor vehicle collisions all of which resulted in no injuries.
