OPP investigating suspicious fire

Bonfield Township – The North Bay Ontario Provincial Police, assisted by the OPP Forensic Identification Unit are presently investigating a suspicious fire in the Bonfield Township.

On Saturday 5th September, 2009 at approximately 4:20 pm, an out-building of the Bonfield Municipal Office was engulfed in flames. The Bonfield Volunteer Fire Department attended the scene and extinguished the fire. The Ontario Fire Marshals office has been contacted and the incident is under investigation.

Anyone having any information regarding the fire is asked to contact Constable Buckle at the North Bay OPP Detachment.

Anyone whom possesses information about the fire but wish to remain anonymous is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
