OPP investigating serious injury case in Mattawa

MATTAWA - On Tuesday, November 5, 2013, officers of the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call that a male was in distress.

The investigation has determined a that a 57-year-old Mattawa male left a friend's house on Main Street at approximately 10:30pm on November 5, 2013. He was located out side a residence on Lilly Street approximately half an hour later, suffering from injuries.

He was transported to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries where he remains in serious but stable condition.

The cause of the injuries are unknown at this time. The OPP is looking for information about this incident.
