Sudbury OPP responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 near Walford, which involved two vehicles and a moose around 10:30 Friday night.
A total of three people were involved in the collision.
One person has been confirmed dead as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
An ambulance transported two people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No names are being released at this time, pending next of kin notification.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with this ongoing investigation.
Highway 17 was closed in both directions for most of the night and was re-opened around 5:30 a.m Saturday.
