OPP charges person with impaired driving over the weekend

The OPP's festive R.I.D.E. program kicked off last Friday.
Further information is included in the following news release issued today by the local OPP detachment:

The Festive R.I.D.E. program commenced Friday November 25th, 2005, and will continue until Sunday January 2nd, 2006. Festive R.I.D.E. checkpoints will be a common sight as officers from North Bay, Mattawa and Powassan Detachments stop traffic in an effort to encourage sober driving.
