OPP charge Freedom Rally protesters in Kirkland, another North Bay rally planned

Police say the event was held in contravention of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act

OPP continues to ticket protesters participating in Freedom rallies.

On April 24, Kirkland Lake OPP investigated a protest that was held at Kinross Pond in Kirkland Lake.

Police say the event was held in contravention of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.

Three organizers, all in their thirties have been charged with "Individual - Fail to comply by hosting or organizing a gathering."

Meanwhile, organizers in North Bay are planning another protest at the waterfront Saturday afternoon. It may take on added intensity after Stewart's Decorating was ordered closed earlier this week.
