OPP ask for public’s help with missing man

M’Chigeeng, Ont – Manitoulin OPP and the UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service are currently searching for a missing person and are asking for the public’s assistance. Jason MAURICE age 27 years, of Mindemoya, Ontario. MAURICE is described as 6’ 6” with a slim build, weighing approximately 180 lbs, with green eyes. He is believed to be wearing a white/grey with red striping Columbia jacket. He was also wearing a blue EXCO ball cap, and blue jeans.

Jason was last seen in the early morning hours on Sunday, December 02, 2007 in the M’Chigeeng First Nation shortly after the power outage occurred.

The OPP helicopter was called and conducted a search in the M’Chigeeng area on the afternoon of December 3rd, 2007. The OPP Canine Unit along with the Espanola North Shore Search and Rescue Unit, along with the OPP Emergency Response Team to further conduct a ground search.
