OPP arrest prohibited driver

MCMURRICH/MONTEITH TWP - On October 18, 2012 at approximately 6:45am officers from the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police were patrolling the Township of McMurrich/Monteith.

Police stopped a Ford van and discovered the vehicle was being operated by a prohibited driver. Police arrested and charged the accused for Drive Disqualified contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and drive while under suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

The driver, Steven BOWYER(46) of McMurrich/Monteith Township was held for a bail hearing in Parry Sound Court on October 19, 2012.
