The announcement on the ONTC Divestiture; Northlander ends; group details Port Authority plan received 48 points with 8 first place votes with The OHL Battalion coming back to the bay in a close second place with 34 points and 2 first place votes.

Two disasters take third and fourth place stories of the year:

With 18 points the fire at Lefebvres, Vested Interest & The Abbey secured a third place ranking.

While 4th spot in the poll went to the Victoria Day crash & Formaldehyde spill on Hwy 63 at Silver Lady Lane which garnered 17 points.

With 11 points City Council supporting the casino proposal rounds out fifth place.
