Public meetings have been held, now the fate of three elementary and three high schools is in the hands of the school board trustees.
The six schools under review include:
- E.T. Carmichael,
- E.W. Norman and
- W.J. Fricker public schools and
- Chippewa,
- West Ferris and
- Widdifield secondary schools.
It's still not too late to make a written submission about what you think should occur, but don't delay.
The next public meeting of the board is on June 12.
You can send your written submission to your local trustee. Contact information for trustees can be found at www.nearnorthschools.ca.
All input will be shared with all Trustees.
Anyone wishing to present their written submission directly to the Board of Trustees can do so at the June 12, public meeting at 6:30 p.m. at West Ferris Secondary School.
But you'll be required to register for the speakers list and provide a written submission to [email protected] by noon on Thursday, June 8.
You'll be given five minutes to speak.
Trustees will make a final decision in public session at their regular Board meeting on June 27.
