One break-in leads to others

Police got a surprise Friday afternoon while they were investigating a call about a suspicious person on Pioneer Road, Boulter Township on Lake Nipissing's south shore.

The officer noted suspicious tracks to the entrances  of several other homes. It was discovered that three residences were broken into.

Property owners reported that the break-ins happened sometime between the evening of October 27 and morning of October 28.

Items stolen include;

  • Plywood
  • Gerry cans of gas
  • Four wheeler winch

North Bay OPP is also investigating a report of a residential break-in in Grand Desert that occurred sometime between October 23rdand 25th.  

A gun cabinet containing two firearms was stolen. The firearms are a Stevens, model 85, semi-automatic rifle and a Lee Enfield bolt action rifle.
