There were tons of laughs and a couple of messed up orders to be had Wednesday at McDonald's locations in North Bay and Sturgeon Falls as community leaders joined owners Bob and Jan Chisholm and staff for McHappy Day in support of One Kids Place.

For the past five years the Chisholms and their staff have championed OKP for their McHappy Day campaign which sees one dollar from every Big Mac and Happy Meal sold at the locations donated to the children's centre. In fact one staff member held an in store bake sale that raised over $300 for the cause on top of Wednesday's receipts.

Bob Chisholm says OKP is a natural choice for his company to support as kids are what the McDonald's brand is all about.

OKP Executive Director Judy Sharpe says the support of the Bob and Jan Chisholm and their staff has been a tremendous support to the agency's directive of growing healthy happy kids in the region, and that directive would be impossible to meet without their support and the support of the community.

Nationally over three million dollars was raised for various charities.
