Western Fever has taken hold of the city as the annual The North Bay Professional Firefighters Association presents the North Bay Western Festival 2006. Kicking off the weekend’s festivities is the 2nd annual parade tonight.

Kicking off the weekend’s festivities is the 2nd annual parade tonight.

Floats decorated by local merchants, city services,sports associations and service clubs will wind their way from North Bay’s Downtown to Memorial Gardens starting at 6 p.m.

The parade will last approximately one hour and leaves from the parking lot at the corner of Oak and Wyld streets. At that point the group will proceed to Main Street, march along Main to Ferguson Street and then head straight down Ferguson to Memorial Gardens.

Once at Memorial Gardens folks can take in the Rocking Horse Riding Association’s show, which is a free evening event.

Saturday is packed with events starting with a pancake breakfast and trick roping Downtown.
