After seeing the devastation following Japan’s earthquake and tsunami, the student council at Ecole Publique Odyssée felt the need to help. Since they already had an intermediate dance planned in mid March, the school decided to donate all of the proceeds to the Red Cross.

The response was bigger than anyone expected as 350 teens and tweens filled the Odyssée gymnasium; a record turnout. In all 1,500$ was raised thanks to moneys collected at the door and concession stand.

“Drawing so many people from the community to support this cause proves how involved our students are and how quickly word spreads when we host a dance.” says Lise Dupuis, principal of Odyssée.
