North Bay Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic

'Nursing the Health of our Nation' is the theme for nursing week 2011. During this year’s nursing week, the North Bay Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic Board of Directors would like to announce the launch of the clinic’s official website www.nbnplc.com. Nurse practitioners are registered nurses who have additional education and the authority to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications and diagnostic tests for their patients.

On May 12th, representatives from the board of directors were at the Northgate mall promoting the website. Community members who do not have a Primary Health Care Provider are welcome to apply to become a patient of the clinic. The application link is located at the top of the home page. Once funding and staff are in place, applications will be reviewed and applicants will be advised of the registration process. The North Bay Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic is planning to open in the summer of 2011. The North Bay Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic is looking forward to providing primary health care services that promote healthy living for North Bay area residents.
