Northern Ontario Music Development Program deadline fast approaching

Music and Film in Motion (MFM) would like to remind all Northern Ontario music artists, businesses and non-profit organizations that the Northern Ontario Music Development Program (NOMDP) deadline is April 17th, 2007. If you have a project you are working on, or an idea that you would like to pursue and would like some assistance from MFM, please apply to the NOMDP before the April 17th deadline.

The NOMDP is available to anyone, and open to any projects, that contribute to the development and promotion of the Northern Ontario music industry. The program offers hands on support services to music artists and businesses in all career stages (emerging, mid-career, and established) in the areas of project development & planning support, marketing & publicity support, and touring & logistical support.

While financing is important to the development of the music industry, more so is the need for direct, hands on support for artists and newly formed businesses. In lieu of a financial contribution, the NOMDP will allow recipients to create a working relationship directly with Music and Film in Motion. Support will be tailored around their specific project needs and the recipient would gain access to MFM’s extensive industry knowledge and contact database.
