Facing a mix of rain and snow Saturday afternoon, about 30 people, joined by Mayor Al McDonald and Police Chief Paul Cook, took part in North Bay's gay pride parade.

The theme was eradicating hate.

Organizer Kay Scott told BayToday " We are saying no to oppression, no to hatred for all people and all identities."

Scott called the turnout, "Amazing considering the snow and everything. We expected a lower turnout but there's been tons of people out".
