The intersection of Judge Avenue and Lakeshore Drive is considered the most dangerous intersection in the city of North Bay.

The North Bay Police released the list of the 20 most dangerous intersections within the city as part of the North Bay Police Service’s 2017 annual report.

Lakeshore and Judge finished on top with 13 accidents causing more than $36,000 in damages while 4 people suffered injuries from accidents in that intersection.  

Second on the list was the Fisher and McIntyre St. E intersection that saw 11 accidents and $26,454 in damages.

The intersections of Fisher Street and Worthington St. E, John Street and McIntyre Street East, Laurentian Ave. and Trout Lake Road, all finished with 8 each.

The intersection of Champlain Street and McKeown Avenue had 7 accidents.

The study showed that traffic accidents were slightly down in 2017.  

There were a total of 422 MVC’s in North Bay intersections in 2017, which was down 8.6 percent from the previous year.
