The odds are against it, but North Bay Pride has invited all the federal party leaders to debate 2SLGBTQ+ issues at North Bay's Nipissing University.

The proposed date is Thurs. Sept. 16.

"We believe that it is fundamental for 2SLGBTQ+ people to hear the perspective of each major political party in order to make the most informed decision possible when casting their vote," writes Jacq Brasseur, National Director of Canada Pride in support of the effort.

"We’re hopeful that your party will accept the invitation from North Bay Pride to participate in this debate. As the national association of Prides across the county, we understand the important role that Prides play in bringing 2SLGBTQ+ people together to advocate for our communities."

The group is still waiting  for confirmation from party leaders.

"We have 63 Prides across Canada supporting our effort," says local spokesman Jason Maclennan.
