North Bay Police on the lookout for armed and dangerous man

The North Bay Police Service Criminal Investigations Section is making an appeal to the public to help locate a dangerous man wanted for several serious offences, including firearm-related offences.

Within an eight-hour period on Saturday, April 10, 2021, Cameron Lawrence Robert Trodd is alleged to have been involved in a robbery involving a firearm at a house in the Percy Street area at 3 p.m. and a home invasion at an apartment building in the 300 block of Main Street East at approximately 11:45 p.m.

North Bay Police Detectives are actively pursuing Trodd and have released his photo in the hope that someone will recognize him and alert police to his whereabouts.

Cameron Lawrence Robert Trodd, 26, of North Bay, is wanted for the following charges:

  • Robbery using firearm
  • Possession of a firearm while prohibited
  • Break and enter
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Disobey Court Order (4 counts)

He is described as 5’10”, 163 lbs, thin build, brown eyes, short black hair, clean-shaven with a scar on his right hand. His image has been released.

Police believe Trodd to be violent and dangerous and should be considered armed. If located, do not approach and call 9-1-1.

Police remind residents that anyone knowingly harbouring a wanted person could face criminal charges themselves.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Section are trying to identify four other suspects involved in the home invasion.

They are described as follows:

Male, Caucasian, unknown age, average height, medium build, wearing a black hoodie with a large light-colored pattern on the front of it, dark pants and footwear and a white bandage on his left hand.  

Male, Caucasian, unknown age, tall, thin build, short dark hair, wearing a grey zippered hoodie overtop of a white shirt, dark camouflaged pattern pants and carrying a dark back pack.

Police say two of the suspects fled in a dark colored Ford F150 4 door Crew Cab with a metal back rack attached to the rear window.

One of the male suspects sustained injuries as a result of the incident.

The unidentified suspects should be considered dangerous.

Officers urge anyone who may have security camera video, including dash-cam video in the areas of Percy Street and Main Street East at the time of the alleged incidents to contact police.
