No deaths on area highways over Thanksgiving

The following statistics were gathered and collected from the efforts of the officers over the weekend;

60 Speeding charges
9 Other moving violations charges
5 Liquor Licence Act charges
3 No insurance charges
2 Impaired driving charges
2-3 Day suspension for registering a warn on a Roadside Screening Device
3 Distracted driving
Area Collisions

17 Motor vehicle collisions, with 5 collisions involving injuries.

Meanwhile, North Bay Police also released their Thanksgiving stats today.

North Bay Police also conducted a R.I.D.E. campaign over the long weekend, in which 305 drivers were stopped. There were no charges laid for impaired driving as a result of these stops.
