On May 15 until May 19 100 delegates from across Canada will be heading to the nation's capital to explore the pertinent issues for the G8 and G20 Summits which will be held in Huntsville this year. These next generations of leaders will participate in a symposium to discuss Summit issues, such as Maternal Health, Food Security, and Nuclear Proliferation.

Marianne den Haan, Nipissing University student and past President of NUSU has been selected to represent Northern Ontario at the Caucus. "I am very excited about this opportunity. It will bring together many business, community, and industrial leaders to discuss issues that our world is facing today. I look forward to meeting the delegation from across Canada. We will be inspiring and learning from each other over the four days. It is opportunities like these that today's youth need to grasp, the experience you gain is priceless."

Delegates will have the opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister as well as other Canadian government officials, business leaders, and community stakeholders to discuss the summit issues. As a result of the symposium 26 delegates will be chosen by Government officials and Global Vision to actively participate in the official G8 and G20 Caucus in Huntsville this June. Another 20 to 30 delegates will be chosen to go on a trade mission to China in August for two weeks.
