Nipissing University is set to welcome more than 160 prospective new students to campus this Saturday, November 4, for tours and information sessions, as the university is hosting its annual Fall UpClose open house. The event takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Over the course of the day, Nipissing is expecting roughly 500 visitors, including the prospective students as well as their families.

The event is proving to be a popular one. Attendance for this year’s Fall UpClose has increased by more than 100 percent. The university feels the increase is due, in part, to a combination of Nipissing’s ability to offer students an exceptional post-secondary experience as well as its developing profile throughout the province.

UpClose provides an opportunity for students and their families to see the campus, speak to faculty and staff about specific programs of interest, see Nipissing’s residences and visit the Athletic Centre. Visitors are provided a complimentary lunch and can have their questions answered concerning admissions, academic programs and administration.
