"Hollingshead brings over 17 years of tourism and marketing knowledge to North Bay as well as hands-on experience coordinating and managing special events and sports tournaments," says Jacques Lacourse, President of the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce.

"In addition to the private sector and not-for-profit sales and sponsorship experience, he’s held the position of Manager Sales and Marketing for Northern Ontario’s Algoma Country and was Manager Special Projects and Sports Tourism for Tourism Sault Ste. Marie; a division of the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corporation."

Hollingshead says he's very excited for the opportunity to share his experiences and knowledge with colleagues in North Bay.

“To be able to play a role in the development of North Bay’s tourism landscape is a true honour, one that I will take great pride in.  North Bay is an incredible place; we are very fortunate to be able to live, play and share this incredible part of Northern Ontario with the rest of Canada and the World”.

In his new role, Hollingshead will enhance partnerships with local and regional stakeholders and increase overall tourism activity in the City of North Bay.

He replaces Trista Verbiwski, who resigned after just a few days on the job for personal reasons.
