A new bus route, slated to go into effect May 31st with three stops on Labreche Drive, has raised concerns of residents in that neighbourhood.

They say they are worried about safety, and are circulating a petition

Homeowners are concerned the road, off Marshall Park in West Ferris, is too narrow, and has a high population of children.

And so, a special meeting of council has been called for Wednesday evening at City Hall.

The route change was a part of recent changes made to the transit system after a series of public consultations.

The meeting starts at 5:15.
